This Saturday – all day – we will be donating ten percent of all sales to the Youngstown Percussion Collective (YPC). The YPC will be presenting the World Premier of Forms of Things Unknown by Dr. Dave Morgan on Wednesday, November 2 at the Butler North Annex. The concert-length piece was commission by the YPC. They are raising funds to record the work in January. So stop in – support the Percussive Arts in the Mahoning valley. Ten percent of all sales – from a fifty cent cymbal felt to a $2000 drum-set – will go directly to the YPC.

![]() A REAL Lulu! Lulu stopped in the store the other day. She’s a fierce five-pound Teacup Yorkie. (as usual, we captured her human’s toe in the photo). Lulu plays a Yamaha Oak Custom kit with Zildjian Z3 cymbals; and she really, really pounds ‘em! Remember, The Drum Smith is PET FRIENDLY! Oh... and stop in and buy a wind gong! ![]() Always wanted a gong? NOW’S THE TIME! Through a clerical error (owner Doug needs to work on his understanding of decimal points), we suddenly have WAAAAAY too many Wind Gongs. What to do? “Mark ‘em down, move ‘em out!” 22” Wind gong: List price is $249 We ‘re giving them away at $99! 28” Wind Gong: List price is $595, We’re moving them at $249! Wind gongs have a flat profile and speak much more quickly than the more traditional Chau gongs, which have a full edge lip. Chau gongs are deeper pitched and much more expensive (we have those too). ![]() Well, yes, if you start running out of space. We’ve got TOO MANY DRUMS! They’re starting to band together, whispering conspiracies about “busting-out” and threatening innocent students -- guilty only of walking on by. The paths between the drum-sets are getting very narrow, menacing and dark. Help us prevent a tragedy! We are dealing! We’ve got used shell-packs from $59. New shell-packs from $99. New Gretsch, Yamaha and Tama. Come see the just-arrived spectacular Tama Star-Classic Birch/Bubinga, along with all the others conspirators. |
